The Toronto Blue Jays made all-star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. a late scratch on Wednesday in opposition to the New York Yankees due to proper knee discomfort.

Guerrero, who was scheduled to be the designated hitter, ran gingerly to first base on an error in his last at-bat on Tuesday. Ernie Clement changed Guerrero as a pinch-runner.
Cavan Biggio will play first base after being scheduled to play second, whereas Spencer Horwitz might be DH after initially getting the decision at first.
Whit Merrifield enters the beginning lineup to play second.
After Tuesday’s sport, supervisor John Schneider performed down any concern about Guerrero.
